Been kind of quiet around here. I haven't heard much from IYC since they sent out the maintenance fee letters. I wondered what would happen if a member was unable to secure a time in prime season and therefore decided not to pay the maintenance fee.

Does anyone know if the new program with the larger boat worked out or was it a flop. Haven't heard anything about it lately which kind of makes me suspect that not enough members upgraded.

I am one of those who cannot secure a reservation in prime time. I have not decidid how I am going to handle this probably it will be a phone call very soon about a reservation and if I still cannot get one then I will bring up the subject of these fees and why they think I should pay it if I cannot get time on the water when my kids are out of school. I will keep you posted.

Hey Jim, I have not done anything about IYC. That includeds paying $995.00. I decided IYC wasn't going to get anymore of my money. I did not call them or anything. They did not call me either. We got a letter I am assuming everyone got or just the ones that did not pay their maintenance fee. It just said send us your money or our reservation would be canceled. Well guess what I had no reservation because I was unable to get one prime time. The letter also said if maintenance fees were not paid we would be out of the club and not able to get back in. So I have just decided I am going to wait to see if I ever hear from them. Last August we purchased a half an acre of land by Alligator 2. So we are planning to build a large garage with an apartment in it. So I am happy to be at that end of the lake anyways. Less logs in spring. We did not have a large investment in IYC. Eough though to be sad to see it go because if mis management. We had purchased a used half a share from someone. Someone asked me if we had to pay full maintenance fee It never occured to me that someone else was paying maintenance fees on the other half. What a rip off. I will let you know if they ever call.

Hello to all; Home from Florida and sorry that I did not keep up with all this during the past winter. Our crew will be at lake beginning July 10th to 17th {Monday to Monday} Who else will be there? Maybe the ones who are there could meet? You are wqelcome to come to our boat. Let us know who,s on the lake and we'll set a time and place. I will be looking out for IYC boats hopeing to find some other members. I rec'd an email from Paula - just chatty nothing peraining to IYC. How is everybody doing? Dreamin'awake, have you sold your share?..I remember reading that you live in Arlington. We are in Dublin. Did any of you buy into this through Jerry Dye? He was a super salesman!!! I tried to reach him this past winter anda different party had the phone number. Information said there was no listing under that name. Just another questionable. Hope someone's at lake week of the10th.

We were down june 1-4. We had boat #1. We always get stuck w/ that one. Asked if we could stay on #2 since it wasn't occupied at 5:45 on Thursday but were told all the boats were booked. Boat #2 remained empty until we left Sunday morning. Gena is the girl who cleans/stocks the boats and was incredibly helpful and polite. We were very impressed to have some service while we were there. However, she seemed to be staying (living?) on boat #11. We were a little concerned that she may be taking up one of the few boats we have left...........As expected, NO HOT TUBS.

We were down for the week of June 4th -11th. Stayed on #10. There were 11 boats there and only half were occupied with Jeanna living on #11.
Jeanna told us that 4 of the boats were for IYC memebers and the remaining are for rent.

When boats were at Conley that same girl cleaned, her daughter and her were staying on one of the boats. I asked them if they lived there and they said just staying to be able to clean the boats when they come in for the weekend. You could tell someone was staying on it. Last year I asked some people if they were members, they said they rented, it was boat # 9
Did anyone run into some other members??

Buckeye
When we were down there there were 4 boats with members on board plus my group. We dicussed our dismays with IYC, especially the topics of reservations, and the consolidation of boats to Cumberland. All of us preferred Dale Hollow.
I did pass this web site on to one group. I wish I could have passed it on to the rest but didn't have the chance as I had to call home to have my son look up the site for me. By then the rest had left or pulled out of dock.

I was told by Berta that this year there are 5 boats in the program however #6 is a privately held boat and is going into the rental program next year. I believe that that is the last of the privately held boats. The last 4 are in the program. I think the big problem here lies in the fact that when most of us got into the program, we had boats at three lakes of which only 4 were actually in the program and the rest were privately held and waiting to be put into a rental program. I believe that this rental program was originally going to be at Norris but Yacht Management had a falling out with the Marina and moved those boats to Cumberland. John told me that the reason the boats were moved from Dale Hollow was because the outdrives were getting torn off. I question this reason but I'm a nobody just like anyone else. When we bought into this, I am not sure who actually knew how many boats were in the program besides Yacht Management. Last year I wrote a letter to John Guzman about the fact that I thought I was misled when I bought into the program and the response was I didn't buy in through them. I am fortunate that I paid my maintenance fees up front and I am not subject to the increases. I don't know what the answer is and probably never will. It is really sad because I think this could be a wonderful program with the proper and up front management. By the way, the latest excuse for not putting the hot tubs on this year is that some members have not paid their maintenance fee. Not that I can blame them. I'll get off my soap box for now.
