We just received email from Berta that our reservation for July on boat #6 is now a "privately owned" boat and the owner has put the boat in the rental program, but is going to honor 2006 reservations!!! So now does that leave owners with only 4 boats and 6 rentals. I think we must some how find out how many boats we have for IYC members. Or should I be thankful that we even have a reservation!

I wonder if they new they were going to sell boats or if they had them for sale last year. I was unable to get a reservation for this year when my kids were out of school. So I wonder if they booked light or what. I tried to call Berta thurs afternoon about out maintenance fee. But she was gone until mon. I have a very hard time sending them 1000.00 when I cannot get a reservaton in prime time. BOY OH BOY I am not a happy camper.

What are they thinking? How can they sell a boat when they can't even cover the reservations now. They even admitted to that when they wanted to change the reservation policy. I was looking at my agreement today and I have a half share special interest and it appears I have no rights. It also says that you are only guranteed 3 nights use a year. I not sure where to turn at this point except try to ride it out for my final 2 years. I think the next time I do a shared ownership, I will make sure that I have some say in how it operates and it will probably be with someone I know. Dreamin, let us know what Berta says when and if you get to talk with her. It also makes me wonder why they sent the email to Buckeye. It's sounds as though it will be status quo for this season and nothing has changed until next season.

I sent an email to Berta concerning Houseboat #6. The response I received is as follows. "Jim, #6 was not sold, it has always been owned by a non multiple owner… they were just waiting for room in the rental program… The multiple owner program has the same number of boats it always has had… 4" I guess this answers the question about how many boats are in the program.

Well I'll bet if we had been told there were only 4 boats in the program I'll bet alot of us would have never joined this club. They made everyone believe there were many many boats with there was atlease 6 at cumberland, 1 at Norris and 2 at Dale Hollow when I joined and I was under the impression there was that all the boats in the program. John Guzman and my husband and I had many disscussions about all the different boats in the program. Leaves me scratching my head.

Chapter 11 (bankruptcy) is probably right around the corner. They've been too shady for me to believe this program is actually profitable. We couldn't believe what a deal we got when we bought 10 years from a group of people who "didn't have time to use their shares." We knew it was too good to be true, but we were coming to Cumberland every year anyway, so we signed up. Never have received a "rule book" or driving lessons. Have never, in two and a half years, taken the boat out of the slip. The list goes on and on......Very dissatisfied.
